We spent a lovely night in Stahan and the Wilderness cottage was really cosy and isolated. It was a great getaway. The views from our front verandah were amazing. Strahan has few cheap places to stay but as we were booked on the river cruise it didn't matter. The owner tried hard but it really is run-down, tired and the towels were like cardboard. Better to stay outside town and avoid PURE tasmania who operate most of Strahan.
