Went there for Easter weekends. the bed was as hard as anything. for the price of $180 a night, we received less. we felt like we were overcharged. on the other side, we quite understood that it was public holiday..but we could have gotten more for what we had paid.

This place is a shack. If you are from the United States this motel is of a lesser quality than a Motel 6. The management here is frugal as well. Internet is around $25Australian Dollars a day(depends on the package you select.)

I stayed here with my partner for 2 nights in August for his birthday. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, i was surprised at the cost considering we had a full spa. We were located in the back row of rooms and found it very quiet. The breakfast was typical motel style food, but no complaints here :) The... More

Whilst the decor may be a bit dated the room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. We were looking for somewhere to stay on a Saturday night after spending the day exploring Phillip Island and watching the evening Penguin Parade. We weren't going to be spending much time in the room and Banfields Motel was a good base which served... More

We decided to go to Phillip Island on the spur of the moment while we were travelling in southern New South Wales, so we contacted the Phillip Island visitors' information office for help with lodging. The very helpful lady said that due to a huge motorcycle racing event on Phillip Island that weekend, most lodging was booked. But she checked... More

I have to begin by stating that this was the first stop of my road trip from Melbourne, across Victoria and starting with Phillip Island. I did not have prior plans for any specific accommodation; rather I was going to take whatever was available and at a cheap price. Hence naturally expectations were virtually non-existent. That said, I was driving... More

I took a group of 36 people (12 families) to "Banfields" at Phillip Island a few days ago and we had a really successful stay there. The owners went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and their attention to detail was excellent. The meals we ate there were really tasty and the service excellent. Nothing was... More

The Banfields looks a bit ran down from the outside, and the interior of the rooms seem at least a decade old. Then again, it provided a basic and affordable stay, and is located centrally for most the tourist attractions in the region. It was fine for a one night stay for us.

We just had a night at Banfields and had a wonderful time. We arrived to an air conditioned room which was a welcome relief to the 38 degrees outside! The room for the four of us had a double bed and single in one room, and two singles in the second room, and we discovered the next morning that the... More

The Banfields Best Western is a good quality 3 star hotel on Phillip Island. The room was basic but very clean and functional. It had a small bar fridge, a TV and DVD player, airconditioning and the bed was pretty comfy too. You can park your car right outside the room and another door opens out to a garden to... More
