We stayed here for the "Biggest Week In Birding" and had a wonderful time. The rooms were very nice and roomy, we had a view of the lake and the pool area from our room. The grounds were nice, quiet, and extensive, so you didn't have to worry about being crowded with too many people there. The boardwalk on site... More

We've just returned from a birding weekend to the "Warbler Capitol of the World." The birds were great, this hotel was really disappointing. The only good things that we can say about it are that it's in a good location and it did offer a quiet nights sleep. Now for the bad things. Not one employee that we met seemed to... More

I took my two kids to the resort this weekend. They LOVED IT!! the resort grounds are beautiful, with docks, a lot of lakefront real estate to walk and enjoy and even though it was the biggest birding weekend ever- the resort didnt feel crowded at all!. My kids ( 9 and 5) loved the indoor pool area and soft... More

This was our 5-day retreat for our "Biggest Week in Birding" event. The room was spacious with a desk and table with 2 chairs, armoir with flat screen TV and a bonus .. small refrigerator. In addition, we had an additional seating area next to the TV that was perfect for piling jackets and conference pamphlets and hiking gear. The... More

Spent time at the MBL&CC this past weekend. Was a party of 6 adults, all over 25 years of age. We were surprised (despite having researched ahead of time, too) to find SO much to do as an adult at this place. We understand families and groups like coming here and wondered if adults would be able to stay busy... More

The resort has so many more activities than we were expecting. There were childrens activites scheduled every hour. The resort had a racquetball court, walleyball court, indoor soft playzone, arcade games, ping pong, indoor pool & splash pad, bike rental, shuffle board, outdoor pool, bike paths, hiking, and a nature center. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. We will... More

I have been to Maumee Bay three times. One week-long family vacation (cabin), one adults-only weekend (lodge) and one weekend with my sisters and nieces (cabin). This is a great place for families OR an off-season getaway. The nature center and boardwalk is impressive. One of the times I was there the entire preserve area was VERY swampy and mostly... More

We were looking for our first family Spring Break trip, and Maumee Bay fit the bill! Our family includes a toddler and preschooler, so we really wanted an affordable suite so that my husband and I could stay up while the kids slept in their own space. We only stayed on weeknights, so the cottages were only $129 a night!... More

We were at Maumee Bay Lodge for a marriage retreat in March. The property is beautiful, sitting right on Lake Erie and providing lots of great areas to walk and take in the pretty Michigan scenery. The jacuzzi was nice, room was nicer than I expected. The staff was pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment was in the hotel's restaurant.... More

Ancient furniture, dirt in the room, sticky sutface of doors, bla and expensive restaurant food, variable experience with staff, not working equipment (one jacuzzi was out of service), bird poop on balcony railings, far from spotless bathroom. Moved out the next day. Wasted vacation time and a lot of money. Shoul have asked for a refund.
