The hotel was average for the area. The room I reserved was very big with a kitchen area, which was handy since we had a two year old. The room was clean, but a little ran down. The breakfast area was too small to comfortably eat. I would stay here again. The area is limited to a few hotels.

First time staying in Portsmouth. So I don't have any other options to compare in this review. But I do travel frequently and this is a very average property. Great staff. Everybody was friendly, the rooms were clean, our king bed was very comfortable and we really liked the sheets. Definitely the best place we've stayed in Portsmouth. Made the reservation with hesitation and anxiety increased driving up the hill to the hotel. That all went away on walking into the lobby and the greeting from staff. Between the holiday inn and the comfort inn we chose the comfort because the price was reasonable and they had a continental breakfast that we didn't have a additional price to pay.
