First, a tip for you when travelling in this spot of geography: make a reservation! I found myself at 8 pm without a room in this remote part of Oklahoma. I would say this was an average B&B based on numerous stays at others. The price was pretty high for a non-scenic location. Innkeeper was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. There were a few maintenance issues that had not been attended to (husband had been ill). Portobello Restaurant was great (recommended by Innkeeper).

Hosts work hard to please. They renovated an old hospital, beautifully done. Area is run-down, but no problem with our car. Very hard beds. Reasonably clean. All rooms upstairs. Breakfast was outstanding. 3 courses, we were stuffed. Definitely an alternative to the other hotels in town.

We spent 3 nights at the Standifer and were amazed how nice the public & sleeping rooms were. Although I picked a smaller, Western room since I was by myself, the other rooms were Huge by B&B standards. The location is great for touring West Oklahoma and Rte 66 sites.
