From the beginning my experience in this hotel was a nightmare; there is no carts to get your luggage, you have to go to the front desk and they will call anyone available to get "the only cart" in the hotel to get your bags. Check in time is a joke, 4:00 pm? they should have your rooms cleaned by... More

My husband and I have not spent the night at the Geiser Grand, but have eaten there twice, once about a year ago in the main dining room and another time this past weekend in the bar. The ambiance was nice and we really enjoyed listening to their Friday night violin player. However, the bartender/waiter was very busy and mildly... More

I recommend this over any hotel between salt lake and seattle. More

We stayed at the Geiser Grand for 2 midweek nights and the whole experience was amazing. Our room (Corner Suite) was beautiful and comfy. We ate most meals at the hotel and found the prizes to be very reasonable and the portions were huge. The Wednesday night all you can eat pasta was fabulous. If your looking for old time... More

Did not stay, only had an appetizer in the bar due to the late hour. Service was erratic and very, very, slow. Apologies were offered by the bar staff, service was attributed to an on the job learning scenario with only three days on the job. Was only allowed to view the common areas, (lobby and hall) so I cannot... More

We stayed in a Parlor Suite, with a king bed. Very comfortable, good lighting for reading. Wide-screen tv. The bathroom was old, not luxurious, but good water pressure in the shower and quite big. No where to put dop kits. The living room was big, dark, and had its own tv. The main dining room was only okay. My trout... More

Didn't get a chance (yet) to stay overnight in this charming turn of the century hotel, but the restaraurant served up some delicious lunch items. My Rueben features locally raised and processed beef, my wife's French dip featured the same. Guests dining at the adjacent table went for the filet, and they looked mouthwatering and the comments from them stated... More

My husband and I had stayed in this hotel a few years ago, and so I wanted to treat my daughter to this hotel. We stayed on the night of April 25, 2012. My daughter woke up in the middle of the night itching and by 7:00 a.m. she had bites all over. I went down stairs and asked if... More

As a travel professional, I am able to eat and stay at places I wouldn't normally be able to. The Geiser Grand in Baker City was awesome! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was gorgeous. The waitstaff was very attentive -- there were a huge group of us eating dinner there -- and the hotel is beautiful. I wandered... More

I had the chance to stay at the Geiser Grand for three days this past week. I never expected to find such an elegant, well appointed hotel in what I thought was a desolate part of the state. I couldn't have been more wrong. The hotel is awesome, the staff helpful and the food superb. Not only was the hotel... More
