i would not have even written review if we had not had to hear the light rail noise all night. Do not stay on the side facing train. It sounds like loud motorcycles. However bed very comfy bed and super friendly staff. Pay $12 to park which adds to room rate also.

Very clean and reasonably priced hotel. Very friendly and acccomodating front desk staff. Short (and free) train ride to downtown, but very walkable. Would stay here again on a trip back to Portland.

I just stayed at Red Lion Inn Portland. Its small, clean, had just what I needed, just across the street from Convention Center which is a great convenience in a rainy city, and the MAX train which I took from the airport stops across the street too. Cant beat that!
