I've stayed at the Benson a couple of times when in PDX and its one of those classic hotels... I hear that several Presidents have stayed here previously and figured that was a good sign. It has that old world look with the dark mahogany, smaller marble bathrooms, etc. Centrally located and easy to access on transit from the airport.... More

Stayed in a Junior Suite, nice sized room, bathroom nice but slightly small. Great historic Hotel with lots of character. Enjoyed the rest/lounge in the lobby. Central downtown location.

Overall the place is very nice. The onsite lounge grest for a cocktail. Room was clean and pet friendly too. We did think the bathroom was a bite small. Parking for a buck deal was a nice touch. The El Goucho restaraunt onsite is a steak lovers paradise. You can walk the downtown, waterfrount and Pearl District.

Here with our families for a wedding and we weren't alone. There was a VIP wedding group as well, but we were treated like it was us. The service was great, what's not to like about the lobby. We will return.
