Close to everything and nice people, rooms were clean, but very basic. This is a good stay for the money.

My wife and I stayed here a few months back, we got a private room, which was basically a cheap hotel room. Didn't spend much time there - but it was such a great deal. Yeah, the decor was bad, but the staff did every thing to make us comfortable. Seaside as a whole didn't live up to all my... More

The Seaside Intl. Hostel is one of my favorite vacation getaways. For only $26-$28/night ($26 your first night if you take the bus) you get to stay in a clean and generally almost or nearly empty dorm room. (in the five times that I have stayed here is has only been full once; the other stays I've slept with between... More

This hostel was in a good location, had a very friendly staff and cool office, and we had a private room with bathroom which was great for a hostel. The decor could use some updating though-a coat of colorful paint and some interesting pictures on the wall would add a lot of character for very little cost. This looked more... More

My wife and I stayed at this hostel in one of their private rooms. We stayed in one of the private rooms closest to the main office and it was basic but very nice and clean. The private rooms nearer to the road are not nearly as nice... if you hear mixed reviews, this is likely why! I think people... More

Lovely little hostel overlooking the river. Very lovely owner that checked us in and greeted us with a smile. She was very helpful in advising us what to do in Seaside. Loved the Kayak rental on the river from hostel -$9 each for 2 hours - bargain! You can't go wrong! We rented double private room that had it's own... More

We had a very pleasant 3 night stop here. Seaside as a place doesn't really have much to offer but it is a quaint place feeling very much like an English seaide town and being on a 6 month trip it was nice to find somewhere that was cosy, safe and where we could just relax. The hostel was great... More

My husband, 6yr old son and I stayed at the Seaside Hostel for 3 nights. We are experienced hostelers, having stayed at hostels all over the world both as singles and as a family. This definitely rates in our top 10 for us. If you arrive expecting hotel or motel-like accommodations you are bound to be disappointed. However, if you... More

I'll start with the good things. The location is close to the beach and on an estuary. The hostel rents kayaks and they have a fire pit. The bad parts are the linens and kitchen supplies are desperately in need of an upgrade. The pot/pans are very hard to cook in. Half of our meal stuck to the pan. The... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights, and it was a good resting spot for all the traveling I'd been doing. Nick at the front desk was very helpful and a great conversationalist. A great atmosphere for having a fun/chill beach hangout. Very picturesque area, with tons of stuff to do and see. I recommend staying here, and am... More
