We have stayed at this charming B&B in Doylestown several times and have never been disappointed. This is the house that Oscar Hammerstein lived in, and his memories are throughout the inn. There are several room options, some of which have their own bath and some share a hallway bath. The rooms are nicely appointed, can be seen on the... More

My husband, mother and I are all music lovers and were looking forward to staying at Oscar Hammerstein's house, unfortunately we didn't get that chance. I had booked the Oklahoma suite months ago for a long weekend. We arrived on Friday afternoon at our scheduled time of 3pm, knocked on the doors and walked around the grounds for about 15... More

We were on route to Montreal and decided to stop in Doylestown. We felt very fortunate to have found the Highland Farm B&B. The place is lovely and our hostess took very good care of us. Since we are music lovers, being in Oscar Hammerstein's house was quite a treat. I would recommend that visitors take some time to look... More

It's all graceful and casual at Highland Farm. Christine has done a wonderful job of making the place comfortable while keeping the feeling that this was a private home for Oscar Hammerstein and his family. As others have pointed out, the house is genuinely old -- creaky floors and all -- and when we stayed on the top floor at... More

Just got back from spending the night at the wonderful Highland Farm. Christine the hostess couldn't have been more accomodating. A colleague and I were attending a conference in Doylestown. We found this place using Trip Advisor. The earlier reviews were right on. The place is just lovely. We were greeted with a glass of wine and cheese and crackers... More

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely inn last month for a night and had the most wonderful time! We were greeted by the lovely Innkeeper, Christine who made us feel like family. She served us wine and cheese which we took outside and enjoyed by the beautiful in-ground swimming pool; very nice after a long hot day... More

This was a very pleasant stay. I felt like I was visiting my grandmother, sleeping up two flights of stairs in an old house with squeaky wood floors. It was far cleaner than a hotel room, just pristine. The landlady is a very practised and polished hostess. Wine and cheese, and pleasant breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. About a mile walk... What a piece of history. I am sitting in Oscar Hammerstein's bedroom waiting for lyrical inspirations! I am overwhelmed with the idea I am in his home, and enjoying every minute. This is a delightful place, the innkeeper Christine is warm and welcoming, and the breakfast she prepares each day is healthy and hearty. One can spend a day browsing... More

What a great getaway so close to home. We escaped to the South Pacific room of the Highland Farms B&B just an hour away. It's the former manor of Oscar Hammerstein II and filled with memorabilia about his life in show business. Christine, the Inn Keeper, was a wonderful hostess, great cook and historian. We certainly intend to return and... More

My fiance and I stayed at this wonderful B&B because we are involved with theatre and are fastinated with the B&B's history. The inn keeper, Christine, has done an incredible job at restoring the home. Her love and care really show. It is, of course, an old home so old wood windows and old locks are to be expected. But...
