This is a comfortable, friendly and historic traditional inn at the hearty of a fine market town and is full of character. If that's what you're after, you can't fault it: comfortable beds, wonderful historic building and setting and an excellent breakfast served by one of the pleasantest waitresses we've ever met.

Stayed here for my sisters wedding, and the Hotel was perfectly positioned, with parking no problem. The staff were attentive and our room was wonderful - large with a lovely 4 poster bed and a well appointed bathroom. The food was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend this for a romantic stay, without any hesitation.

Old fashioned coaching inn.Gives fantastic traditional atmosphere.maintenance and decoration super . Food good if not exciting.Staff very friendly service exceptional .location perfect in the market square in the centre of town.Near to picturesque village of Sandy Lane. Stayed one night at the end of January. Very friendly staff - lovely room ( not the usual 'chain hotels one' where you could be anywhere in the world ). Full of atmosphere. Breakfast was really good. Would stay again without a second thought.
