We went here as a party of 8, not much vegetarian choice on the menu, and what I did have was not worth £ 11, had portabello mushroom burger and what I had was just a fried mushroom in a bun and some chips...bloody discusting... Expected a lot more for that price, as for dessert, my friend had lemon torte,... More

Large uninspiring modern restaurant, with very average pub food. Reasonable price. Gets quite a lot of large parties and has live music at weekends and holidays

My wife and I stayed in the Rashleigh arms so that we could visit the Lost Gardens of Heligon. My wife was unwell on the trip (280 miles) but as soon as we said about not booking a table for the evening meal we were told they would do whatever she wanted. Our room was excellent with a large comfortable... More

I have been here many times and each time it just gets better, it's not fancy but the food is always good and the service seems genuine, last time I had a burger and my wife had the cod, both were fantastic and we will keep coming back, love it.

Ended up here for lunch as we could not get into Sam's on the Beach next door. We enjoyed the meal and were glad we came here. I had sea bass (can't remember what my husband had), the food was very good and so was the waitress service. Nice view over the beach and out to sea from the window.... More

As a local I have never stayed here, but occasionally come for food. If you want reliability then try the Rashleigh. There is always a good atmosphere and a good selection of St Austell beer and the odd guest ale too. The menu and specials are pretty comprehensive although most a tad over the £10 mark which can seem expensive... More

Superb location. We had superior room with view over rooftops of mast of ships in dock and view of sea. Room was first class; shower excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and genuinely eager to please. There are enough staff to cope with the busier periods. Food in restaurant is of high quality; to ensure a table it... More

St Austell Brewery pub with very friendly staff and a busy restaurant serving a wide variety of good, well cooked food. The St Austell ales were well kept and extremely drinkable, not surprising really seeing as the award winning brewery is less than two miles away. My room was over the function room and I was told that there would... More

We stayed for 1 night at the end of March 2012. Nice quiet location and friendly staff. The evening meal was satisfactory. Breakfast was OK if a little boring. Nice room.

We came first in the afternoon to check the place out. We were told they were fully booked for dining tables (It was saturday night after all) but we could eat in the pub area. When we came back, we intended to order their surf and turf meal but they had sold out, so we opted for venison from the... More
