Arrived here late after a drive from Sydney going to Adelaide. Upon arrival the staff were fantastic, I was booked in immediately and I asked if they were still doing food however they had just finished (10pm) but the lady checked and they said no problems, 20 mins later the most fantastic steak, chips and salad. Done to perfection. The... More

The origional hotel was destroyed by fire and rebuilt some 12 months ago.The Bishop lodge rooms are great with modern facilities. We had a meal in their restaurant, very good selection supported by a good wine list.Quality and service was very good and at resonable prices.Only downside is the Motor Inn is near the motorway, so expect some traffic noice.

My partner and I stated at Bishop's Lodge for two nights on the way to Melbourne. We were greeted by the friendly owners who ensured our needs were met throughout the duration of our stay. Our room was large and impeccably kept with a comfortable queen-size bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant-quality food from the kitchen! We have not experienced... More

Situated on the main highway I expected a noisy room but the owner let me check the rooms first. We stayed in the refurbished section out the back. The room looked almost brand new on the inside, the bed was very comfy and being a light sleeper I was happy that the traffic noise was almost non existent. We didn't... More

After a long day´s drive, it was a real surprise to find such a modern, well appointed hotel on the highway. Check in was smooth and our room was so clean it looked as though it was the first time anyone had used it, which was probably not the case. We left the hotel after a good night´s sleep on... More

This near-new motel in Hay was definitely a real surprise. As you would expect, the rooms are new and very clean. But it is also very well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. Ultra-modern with neutral tones - nice change to the usual 80's decore and smelly pillows! I had a standard double room, with comfortable queen bed, large flatscreen... More

I stayed overnight to break my trip from Bathurst to Mildura.I like to stay in a motel with a restaurant when traveling,so it was a surprise to find the Bishops Lodge had such a high quality menu.I had the Pork Belly topped with Scollops entree as a main, yum. The room was clean, refreshing and I did not notice any highway noise... More

We only stayed one night here, as a stop over from Broken Hill to Jindabyne. The front part of the motel has been rebuild after a fire in January 2010 and was re-opened in April 2011.We were travelling with 2 of our 3 teenage children (14 & 15). We had booked a family room, which was lovely. Very modern. Very... More

The rooms have been cheaply but nicely refurbished in what looks to be a standard 70's style roadside motel. The room (at the back) was basically clean and okay. We saw a room at the front that was a little nicer but $180 instead of $160 (Christmas holiday peak season) but it was late and we didn't need the separate... More

The Bishops Lodge Motor Inn was originally built in the late 1980s. In January 2010, the front part of the motel including the restaurant and kitchen was burnt down and has been rebuilt since May 2011. Since its reconstruction, the motel has been refurbished with modern décor to qualify with its AAA 4-Star rating. Unfortunately, we could not prevent the... More
