We stayed in October 2011. We had to stay here as it was already getting dark and we needed a place to stay for the night. The owner was such a nice and welcoming guy but everything else can be simply described as terrible. Actually the guy cannot be that nice at all otherwise he would not offer such accommodation... We have stayed at this motel a few times over the past few years. The rooms are clean and comfortable with the little extra's like coffee and making facilities. It is close to town and shops and a short stroll to the beach and marina. The owner made us very welcome and even offered us transportation to the wedding we... More

It's my 1st self-drive trip in NSW with my wife, son & daughter. We were actually on our way to Shoal Bay while spotted this motel. I went to the Reception Office and met with the owner, Tom. After a short chat, I decided to not search for that night's accommodation else where. Tom has a very pleasant personality and... More

My wife found this little gem via tripadvisor and we were impressed by all the good reviews it got - so we thought we give it a try. From the moment we arrived Tom (the owner) made us feel very welcome and we had a pleasant chat. The rooms might seem to some people dated (according to the reviews) -... More

Stayed for one night on trip up the east coast with our two teenage sons. They had the room next to us. The owner was extremely helpful and pleasant. Location of motel was lovely - just a short walk to the pretty harbour. The room were a little dark (exposed brick walls) and quite chilly even though we had a... More

A very good deal. The owner knows how to treat his guests. A simple hotel, but clean and inviting. I will use it again.

This motel is located in a quiet residential area, but less than ten minutes walk from the centre of Nelson Bay. There are some ground-floor rooms, but the majority of rooms are on the first floor, with parking underneath. The rooms are equipped with kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, flat-screen TV and a small balcony with chairs. There were daily supplies... More
