I recently stayed here during hotel renovations and the staff was wonderful. They were working with only 2/3 of the hotels rooms being available during a busy Swim meet weekend and the did everything possible to meet our teams needs. They found doubles/Kings as needed, opened the breakfast room earlier since our swimmers needed to be at the pool early in... We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Mariott in Lancaster, PA a number of times, the most recent of which was in April, 2012, when we found the hotel in the midst of a much needed major renovation. This is a motel-ish facility with a small lobby, The rooms are somewhat small, but clean. If all you need is... More

It's being remodled and the Rooms were spotless. Considering the reports of bedbugs in lancaster I was very happy to see all new beds and carpets. It was a good average hotel. The front desk staff were nice.

A recent business trip had me stay at the Marriott Fairfield in Lancaster. Good location for getting around the miriad of roads in the area. I was fortunate to have a renovated room that was very comfortable. However, while I was there the place was under going a complete rennovation. They should have figured out a way to keep the... The hotel was an "average" experience, primarily because it was UNDER EXTENSIVE RENOVATION during my stay. Even the stairwells were affected. The upgrade to the place was definitely needed. The breakfast is also average... with typical, regular, tasteless offerings. The Staff, once again, was average. Again, nothing to write home about.

To me, what is important in a hotel is that the room is clean and quiet, the bed is ok and that the shower works. Anything more is nice but not absolutely necessary. I don't care about outdated fixtures or how many channels the TV has. The wireless works well. The lobby sits ok but the ice machine and the... More

I love staying at Marriott properties but was truly disappointed in Fairfield Inn. This hotel needs to be renovated and updated quickly as it does not have a "Marriott" feel. From the one tiny elevator to the stained towels to the front desk asking me to come downstairs for more towels (when I called to request extra) was unacceptable. I... More

Booked it for one night as options were limited. Did not reasearch it because I was convinced we'd stayed there a couple of years ago. Pulled into the lot to realize I'd stayed at the homestyle suites next door. Sorry to say it was not what I was hoping for. Hotel was ok but everything including the elavator was very... More

Hotel needs updates. nothing wrong but nothing was great. Breakfast needs help. Little choice. Room is clean and staff is polite. Furniture and fixtures in need of updating. TV is old. Walls are thin. Price is average. Would stay again but would switch to another hotel in a second.
