I've stayed at The Phillips several times during travel to Central PA and I've never had a problem with a room or any other service there. The landscaping during the warmer months is breath taking! There are flowers everywhere! The gazebo provides a nice place to read the morning paper. With a Burger King just next door, you can have... More

From the courteous and attentive staff to toe well appointed and extremely clean rooms - everything was PERFECT! I loved my stay! The rooms are furnished with a combination of antique and reproduction furniture which makes the motel feel more like a B&B. The location is near all necessities as well as Susquehanna University. They are also family owned -... More

Room was very clean and is nicely furnished with antique furniture and a nice big comfortable bed. Large cushy chairs to relax in. Staff is freindly. Close to the mall and a variety of restaurants. Nice big soft plush towels in bathroom. Small refrigerator and microwave in room, which is always a plus if there for more than a day... More

The hotel has a very pleasant, quaint appearance; the room was nicely furnished with antiques and, minus an odd wallpaper border, was pleasant to us. Staff was very friendly as well. Conveniently location, not far from restaurants or convenience stores, but traffic is a bit of a problem. Negotiating the parking lot and the exits can be challenging and felt... More

We come up to shamokin dam every year and this is the 1st time we have stayed here. I must say we were very pleasantly surprised. Clean, bright comfortable and convienient to our family and friends and attractions. It was a couple of dollars more than what we paid at another location.....but it was more than worth it. Lovely Cow... More

For some reason, this area doesn't have a lot of non-chain choices. This looked like a good pick, clean, well maintained, and attractive grounds. It turned out to be one of the nicer independent motels we've ever stayed in, but it is on the pricey side (especially for PA, where you can often do very well for $50). At any... More

My wife and I stayed here for nearly a week while we had our vehicle in the shop. It was a very pleasant stay and our room was very comfortable. I should say that we stayed here on two separate occassions and the first was much better than the second. This first time we stayed in the building directly behind... More

When you pull up to this sunny yellow motel, you notice that it is lovingly maintained. It's not cookie cutter chain, but decorated with floral comforters, bed skirts, and chandeliers in the windows. It's not super fancy, but the price is right compared with the much-higher rates up the street. Clean and comfortable!

Another review mentions all the rooms have two double beds, but in fact, they have several options. We stayed in a queen room. It looks like it may have been an old motor lodge that was renovated into Victorian rooms. They have chandeliers, four poster beds and stained glass windows. Very romantic. You would think you were in a bed... More
