the beds at this hampton inn were not very comfortable. the pool area was very nice.

It is a perfect spot not only for Newport ( 5 mi ), but also the great beaches of Narragansett, the Block Island Ferry, and historic Jamestown, ( 4 mi.). Over the last few years we have found that the most reasonable place to stay in the Newport area is the Hampton Inn South Kingston, RI. It's a few years old and is close to Newport and the beaches. It is located in a village that has a movie theater as well as shops and restaurants. A really convenient location.
