What a disappointment this Inn was after reading other reviews. First impression was off-putting because no one here seems to know that fluorescent lights come in a soft version not just the harsh light of a basement and that was the only lighting used in the room including in the seedy bathroom - try putting on make-up in that light.... Stayed in March and April on two legs of an extended southern trip. The decor is exceptional, the desk staff an exemplar of courtesy and helpfulness, the complimentary breakfast delivered to our room delightful. The two rooms we had (different each leg) were each finely appointed. We will return.

The Inn at Claussens's Is my go to when in Columbia on business. It is in the college district so the bar scene is close by which may not be for everyone. Several great resturants are also within walking distance. Breakfast served at your door each morning which is a nice touch. I found the rooms very nice and comfortable.
