We stayed here for 2 days, the 5th and 6th of July. My two 8 year old boys got to catch their first fish ever!!! They were so thrilled, and the staff was so friendly, they were just about to close when we arrived, but they stayed open and baited the hooks for the boys, and waited until everyone caught... More

I just returned from a two night stay at Trout Haven and thought it was a great location. My friend and I stayed on a tent site for only $15/night. We chose this campground for it's central location to Mount Rushmore and Deadwood (each site is 30 minutes away). Things I did like about resort: Location. Staff was very friendly... More

We stayed at Trout Haven last night, in the Eagle Tipi. I have to say that I was nervous at first! As promised, we had air mattresses already inflated for our stay. There were blankets and bedrolls for the two of us. I was worried that we were going to get cold since it was getting down into the high... More

We arrived at Trout Haven on a Tuesday afternoon and were greated by the friendly owners and staff. This is a family owned business and they really take the time to get to know all of their guests. We felt right at home from the get go! My children fished right away and the staff did everything from bait the... More

We were touring the area and decided to stop in and stay. Trout Haven has an absolute beautiful view and we enjoyed the scenery. We were impressed with the natural beauty surrounding the Resort. We did not fish as the cost was a bit steep .80 cents an inch for the small fish and 2.00 an inch for the large... More

First Trout Haven Fishing Resort is amazing and my family loved it! We caught a direct Flight from Mesa, AZ to Rapid City, SD on Allegiant Airlines. In 2.5 hours we were in Rapid City. This was our first trip to South Dakota and a big part of it was to see Mt. Rushmore and ride horses and ATV's. We... More

This was a great place to stay. It is family owned, (new owners), and they are very helpful and friendly. The cabin was very clean. The cafe had great breakfast. My son caught two trout in the pond and they cooked it up for him in the morning for breakfast. They were wonderful and I highly recommend you stay here.... More

We stopped at this place on the way to Deadwood and were glad we did. We just had breakfast there. They caught the trout fresh from their stocked pond and cooked it on the spot. It was great. We saw the tourists riding their atv's Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and next time we go to this area we... More
