The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was always great. We spent about a week and were in a great central location to visit Mr. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and the Badlands. Nice gift shop in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely visit again.
The manager placed us in a room with a whirlpool tub at no extra charge, so that was good customer service. It was nice and quiet since it was off-season. Room was clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities.
Thank you for reviewing us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

We stayed several days in the charming little town of Hill City, South Dakotal. Booked into the Best Western's Golden Spike Motel. We were traveling at the end of the season to avoid crowds. The Spike was a bit above the average BW. Even if we were booked into their "overflow" building when the main motel was far from full....

We stayed in one of the suite rooms with two "rooms" and two baths, two double beds and a sleeper sofa and a small kitchenette. It was my parents and my family (4 adults-2 kids) and we were all very comfortable. There is an indoor/outdoor pool and an exercise room that we used often. All facilities and rooms were clean...

I wanted to bid on a priceline hotel and get the Holiday Inn Express, but got this one instead. It was a lot of money for a older, motel style setup. The staff was nice enough, but the place had an odd feel to it. For example, the gift shop attatched to the lobby, only sells sort of outdated older...

Can't remember a more enjoyable hotel stay. Attached restaurant personnel were quite attentive as well.
The Title pretty much sums it up. We stayed here so we could tour Mt. Rushmore, Chief Crazy Horse, Hot Springs Mammoth Dig and the Needles in Custer State Park. We had a great couple of days and good nights sleep in our room. The motel is a little older but in good repair with an attentive staff. As with...

Wonderful! To complete our “Tour De Hill City” chain hotel stays, my husband and I lodged at the Best Western Golden Spike Inn & Suites this past weekend while visiting the Black Hills. We have previously stayed at the Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Super 8. The Best Western was by far the best! I regret that we avoided...

Not sure why the Plus.....bathroom is tiny! Clean & comfortable room though. No free breakfast which is also not what you expect for the price. Probably won't stay here again with all the other choices.
