This hotel is in an excellent location in the town of Wall and within walking distance to the downtown area. Also, very close to Badlands National Park. The only thing about this hotel is that whenever I stay here, it is always very dry sleeping at night (so bad it has caused my nose to bleed) - which should be... More

Stayed here for 1 nite 9/11/11. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless and price was reasonable. The windows in the room didn't open so had to use noisy air conditioner to keep room comfortable. Chose this motel because they allow pets and it's very close to the Badlands. Breakfast was adequate. Appreciated having the fridge in the room.

Tried this motel based on TripAdvisor reviews and was very dissapointed. From other reviews I wasn't expecting much but it was worse than the reviews suggested. If you don't need a pool I'd recommend considering the Super 8 next door or the Best Western across the street. This hotel is well kept up and clean but VERY old. Our room's... More

Absolutely great this year, stayed there few times before was a little pricey but stayed because of how clean and friendly service. Surprised this year it actually was cheaper than two years ago, and not just a few dollars. weather was in the 60's so we thought to cold for pool, staff said it is heated it should be good,... More

We found the Econo Lodge to be a very nice motel for the area. The staff were friendly, the room up-to-date and clean. Perhaps the #9 rank (of 9) was based on earlier conditions, but I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the Badlands (or even Wall Drug). The pool is small, and outdoors, but kids seemed... The Econo Lodge is one of the nicest and most popular hotels in Wall. I stayed there 2 nights while hiking the Badlands and each night they were turning people away. I had booked in advance and am glad I did because it is this motel or the Best Western across the street that really only offer complete services. The... More

Econo Lodge Wall was acceptable, except for one cranky front desk person (woman) who spoiled my day by insisting that she knew better than me - I entered the office the second evening and asked for a couple of plastic cups for my evening libation and she INSISTED that there were already two cups in my room . . .next... We have stayed at the motel several times and recommend it to our friends. It has always been a clean, well managed property, and the manager, Bev, and her staff always treated us well. The motel is very comfortable with many updates. Last year it had a different manager from out of the area who is no longer there... The... More

On a recent vacation in the Black Hills we had reservations at the Econo Lodge in Wall, South Dakota for two rooms for one night. Their policy regarding cancellation was clearly spelled out and we expected to be charged for the full rate when we had to call them and cancel at 5:00 p.m. on the sceduled day of arrival.... More

It probably starts with the fact that it is impossible to open a window in your room! And then compounded by the fact that by the time you prop your door open to try to air out the musty smell and stuffiness all the weird flies and bugs of South Dakota have flown in to join you for the night....
