We found a coupon book on our way back home from our vacation and decided to check this motel out. When I asked if they had non smoking rooms available for 1 senior 2 adults 1 9yr old and an 8lb dog they said yes and quoted me a reasonable price of $64.00 with a $10.00 pet fee. I asked... More

Cookeville is a college town, it's halfway between Knoxville and Nashville on I-40, and it is a micropolis so don't expect to find a Loews or Crown Plaza here. If you HAVE to be in Cookeville for business I regret to inform you that this is about the best you can do so you had better listen up. Ask for... More

I could not recommend this hotel to anyone except a serious chain smoker. While the room was designated non-smoking, as we reserved, it reeked of smoke and had 3 ashtrays and a disconnected smoke alarm. When we complained we put in another room that was just as bad. The shortage of rooms was apparently due to the back half of... More

The lobby was bright and shiny but: The desk clerk ignored us in favor of two separate extensive telephone conversations. Even persons we believe were hotel management did not interrupt their behind the counter discussion to speed the check in process. The room we were assigned had an outside enterance and a musty smell. Obviously a very old property. And... More

Was not informed that rooms were smoking rooms. Loud, ugly domestic situation in room beside me went unacknowledged by hotel staff upon my complaint. For a total of about 3 hours, I listened, wide awake. Got about 3 hours of sleep. There was no apology or compensation or anything offered to us a check-out. Will NEVER stay at this hotel... More

Kids love the indoor pool and arcade area. Lots of sitting areas to visit with others outside your own room. Nice breakfast. Staff friendly. Good value.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, when it was a Holiday Inn, then a Garden Inn and now a Clarion. The most recent stays were the last two weekends in November (travelling thru for Thanksgiving). I always request a room in the Executive Wing, since these units have been remodeled and have much nicer bedding,... More

The kids love the pool, mainly the slide. If it wasn't for them, we'd probably stay somewhere else. This Hotel does need remodeling. There was mold on the ceiling in our bathroom and our blanket had a hole that was hand sewn back together. But on a light note, The staff has always been friendly to us and the beds... More

Nice property with lots of potential. However, room was dirty (moldy bathroom). Lobby was always dark and forbidding. Business center and fitness room were in disrepair (broken equipment and dirty). WiFi was slow and weak.

Stayed at this property in August 2011. Obviously, this was once a member of another chain since it had the "dome" associated with indoor pools of that chain. Now, as a Clarion property, it is showing its age; paint needs touching up on interior doors, canopy area in front of entrance needs cleaning, and the lighting in the interior dome... More
