Good value for the price. Rooms were clean and quiet. Hotel is dog friendly and location had ample parking lot space for our car and boat trailer. Breakfast was OK. Very nice and welcoming front desk clerk
OVERVIEW:
I have a Red Roof Inn membership and have stayed on numerous Red Roof Inns in the past. This particular hotel however, is absolutely SUBSTANDARD. Without a doubt, I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel provides very rudimentary accommodations overall.
LOCATION:
Downtown Knoxville is approximately a ten minute drive.
POSITIVE NOTES:
None of the above.

We stopped at the Red Roof Inn as we were passing through Knoxville. We did not arrive at the hotel until late, and for a place to sleep, it was just fine. The hotel is not new, but it was clean. I'm not sure that I would stay here again simply because I might try a different hotel that was...

Travelled for a very special occasion that was spoiled by the infestation of bed bugs. Do not stay here. I was given a refund, but it was not worth the torment of dealing with bed bugs. They were everywhere.
They need to tear this place down, litterally. I checked for budbugs, but found a mouse droppings on the mattress instead. Front cover of HVAC was detached and would not reattach. Dirty peeling wallpaper everywhere. Water, rust and mold on ceilings everywhere. Smudges and dirty splatters on doors, fixtures, floors, door casings, elevator. Beer cans left in elevator and even stuck...

This was probably the worst RR that I've ever stayed in. I usually pick them over other motels but if they were like this I'd probably think again. Musty smell everywhere. HVAC did not warm up much. Bed was okay but since when did hotels stop providing anything other than a worn sheet and a threadbare blanket. Rust stains on...

This old but well maintained property just off I-40 is a good choice for travelers on a budget. Near the UT campus and the McKay's used bookstore that is one of Knoxville's great attractions, the hotel is far enough off the freeway to be very quiet. Our room had a microwave and fridge and was very clean.
The price and the cleanliness of the room are the only things going for this place except of course, the location - minutes from downtown. It was a little hard to find. Our directions from google maps were woefully inadequate. We finally arrived and were pleasantly greeted. The hotel needs a huge renovation, as my other colleagues have expressed, but...

This is exactly what I forwarded to their CS Department. I have NEVER had to do something like this... we were terribly disappointed at how we were treated. Not to mention that the hotel looks goodo n the outside, but is run down, wallpaper is falling off the walls, cheap mattresses and only moderately clean rooms. Nothing has been updated...ever....
