We holiday locally and had seen a sign from the main road advertising afternoon tea at Cashel House. We decided this would be a nice outing. My mother, my sleeping two month old baby and I went to have a walk around the gardens and tea on a beautiful sunny Monday afternoon this month. We went into the house and... More

We went to stay at Cashel House Hotel in April . It was the most magical, wonderful experience. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The surroundings peaceful, the gardens magical. The staff and owner are friendly but leave you in peace as well. The food is exquisite. All I can say is go! Enjoy!

Hidden away in magical gardens this is a perfect retreat to celebrate a special birthday or event. Delightful old house filled with antiques and burning turf fires. Gardens lush with azaleas and rhododendrons in the spring. Can claim that General de Gaulle once stayed there! Glorious afternoon teas for casual visitors who are welcome to wander around both inside and... More

This is not a hotel but a home and you feel very much at home. Wonderful, wonderful, we did not want to leave. This was our fourth visit in all too many years but hopefully we shall cross the doorstep once again in the near future

We made our second trip back to the Cashel House last summer after being away for many years. Everything about it is charming. The staff is warm and friendly and one feels immediately at home. The rooms are comfortable and the ones overlooking the garden have a sitting area as well. Time seems to be leaving its mark on the... More

Last summer I had lunch at Cashel House Hotel and I was determined to come back and stay. I found on their web site a two nights package titled "Connemara Wild at heart" just after Christmas and it was just amazing. It consisted of two organised walks: one in Eirisberg in Roundstone and the other in Omey Island. Both were... More

In the 90's I was a very regular visitor to Connemara in the West of Ireland, and to this day I can say, for scenic beauty, there is nowhere quite like it. Back then, the Cashel House was a very lauded establishment and rightly so, it had some very swish guests and a wonderful dinner menu - sadly, that is... More

My husband and I stayed here in mid November as our first get away after our wedding. We really looked forward to it and we were definetly not disappointed. The evening we arrived it was a horrible evening but driving up to the house was such a sight, it was beautiful. Entering the house we were greeted with the lovely... More

Cashel House Hotel is a fantastic escape to get away from it all. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, Kay and her staff who made us feel so welcome. The food is excellent, all locally sourced and prepared and served with 'tender loving care'. The distinguishing factor in Cashel House Hotel has to be the... More

We have been visiting Connemara since we were university students in the late 60s. At first we camped but since we graduated to staying in Cashel House the idea of a few days in the west of Ireland has a whole new meaning. The location and the food are 'top class' but I think that it is the welcome and... More
