Lovely location. Stayed in Number 1 cottage - the Bofin. Bit old fashioned but comfortable and clean. Downstairs loo did not work too well. Overall smell of damp in kitchen and downstairs loo. We stayed on an RCI exchange at The Connemara Country Cottages cottage No.3 it was very disappointing. The grass and carpark were unkept, with grass 5ft high and the carpark covered in weeds. The cottage was deplorable. Mildew on walls, smelled moldy, carpet stains throughout, beds where unsleepable. No you around to communicate with. Had to find other accommodations Suggested to RCI remove from list of places to stay.

Beautiful cottages in a serene location; a perfect place to get away from it all. The town of Oughterard is a short drive away and there are wonderful walking opportunities in the stunning landscape of Connemara right on your doorstep.
