Super place to stay - just like a home from home. Very helpful, thoughtful & kind owners. Food fabulous - all home cooked. If you want a place to really get away from everything & chill - this is the place to do it.

The title comes from the brochure and is most apt! The Guest House is mentioned in Praeger's book "The Way That I Went" and the same family have been welcoming visitors since the C19th. As a landscape painter by profession, I have been staying every year in O'Connors since 1974, using it as my base for my painterly explorations of... More

We stayed one night at the O'Connor's Guest House. The room was very quiet, utterly clean and the bed most comfortable. We had a superb dinner and very fine full breakfast at the dining room overlooking the water. There is good wi-fi internet at the lower floor and also a computer terminal for guest use. http://www.cloghane.com/

We last visited O'Connors 12 years ago,not many changes,it is still owned an run by the same family,we were a party of 12 and it was a bit chaotic when we arrived, but the welcome was warm and after walking for 5 hours we were ready for a meal and the food was excellent ,with a great choice, the favourite for most... Just home having spent two wonderful nights in O'Connors Guesthouse in the lovely little village of Cloghane on the shores of Brandon/Tralee Bay in Co Kerry. We found the guesthouse to be so quaint, and cosy with a warm and friendly atmosphere and here we experienced the most delightful home cooked food, with the fish dishes being particularly delicious -... We have been in Kerry for a few days now and we came to Cloghane to see the annual parade through the town. O'Connors looked like the happening place - so we went through the back to the restaurant for a meal for the four of us. The restaurant itself is a small prefab style extension at the back -... More

I took a cycling trip out the Dingle Peninsula with 12 friends in July 2012 - the peninsula is very scenic, picturesque and can be quite challenging. We set off from Tralee aiming to travel out to see Cloghane and Brandon Point in sunshine and as Irish weather can be in Summer we got rain. Lots of rain. We got... More

This accommodation was above a quaint little pub, and offered lovely views of the bay and surrounding hills. The beds were comfortable and well sized, however the bathroom was in need of modernising. The breakfast was fulsome and of a very good standard. Enjoying a quiet drink in the pub made for good evening at the end of a day's... More

A group of 6 of us dined here recently. We had been walking and wished to eat early and this was accomadated. Very good standard fare and fair prices is our summary. Roast duck, steak, cod, plaice were all on the menu and they were accompanied by wonderful local grown "new potatoes". Service from everyone here was pleasant and friendly.... More

This was my third trip to Ireland and my third visit to O'Conners Guesthouse in Cloghane. The guesthouse is charming, with that old world authentic feel. The accomodations are very comfortable, as the guesthouse is roomy, with a dining room, bar & lounge and beautiful view of the bay. You have everything you need in this qaint little town that's...
