Didn't stay at this pub but visited for a meal. Fantastic pub - happily welcomed dogs as well as their owners! Food was delicious, couldn't fault it. Lovely tranquil garden area. One of the nicest pub meals we've had in a long while. Would definitely go back.

Excellent pub with good beer and a friendly atmosphere that serves tasty pub food including its Pie's which are fully desrerved of their 'award winning' status! We've eaten here several times and have always had good service.

Wonderful location for a three night walking break in a very old and truly atmospheric village pub. All that you could wish for in a rural English pub. A group of nine friends dined early one Sunday evening after a long ardous walk on Dartmoor, had not booked but that did not matter. We were ravenous and the meal sated our appetites. Good fast service. Staff exceptionally friendly. Am looking forward to next visit already.

This is really worth a detour...or a trip especially when you want somewhere to eat while visiting north west Dartmoor or walking The Granite or Two Castles Way (superb walking). Good beer, great pub food and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Rainy afternoon....order a later taxi to your hotel and just sit by the Fire, Eat, Drink and Relax :)
