We were greeted by Alison on arrival and later met Dave. They were generous spirited hosts as was evidenced by the delicious and comprehensive breakfast choice of 'Full English' components and continental style, pastries, yoghurt's, juices and fruit. Our room was compact yet spotless with everything needed to hand plus extras like a torch and umbrella. Each day the 'tea tray' was replenished with tea, coffee, biscuits and sweets. There was also a pack of savory snacks. The location is rural but as long as you follow the directions Alison and Dave provide the B&B can be found without difficulty. The roads in places are narrow but quiet and the locals seem to recognize the need to be patient as we passed each other.

Excellent stay. We went to a midweek wedding at Huntsham Court (about 10-15 mins away by car) and stayed at Brambles. The rooms were very comfortable with a good shower and the breakfast really good. It was very reasonably priced too. Very hospitable owners. The B&B has a lovely garden with views. All in all, thoroughly recommended

A comfortable, quiet, idyllic stay, in the lovely Devon countryside. Brambles is a beautiful house with an annex for bnb. The bed was super comfortable and you had everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent and plenty. I would highly recommend and we shall be staying again on our next trip to Devon.

Lovely views and off the beaten track. Pub nearby and walking distance. Friendly, competent welcome from Alison We stayed in the annexe in a charming room, cosy, well equipped hospitality tray Inc water, nuts, biscuits. Lots of extras in the room: fan, tissues , luggage rack, various level lighting. It has all been well thought out. Small and well equipped shower room (good sized shower with excellent water pressure). Perfect sleep in the serene quiet of the night, no sounds until the natural awakening with the birds. Bliss. Comfortable bed. We didn't have breakfast on this stay so nothing to comment on.

Extremely comfortable stay in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Everything you could possibly require during your stay was already in the room ! Torch, hairdryer, toiletries, umbrella, biscuits, peanuts, sweets, and every type of hot drink ! Alison had thought of it all ! Cannot fault the room or the breakfast.

Stayed at brambles b&b for one night and could of asked for any more. The room was beautiful and clean with an on suite bathroom with a bath and shower. David and Alison were so welcoming and friendly nothing was too much and so down to earth. Breakfast was on point with a choice of cooked breakfast which was delicious and a choice of pastries and cereals and yogurts with a great selection of condiments to accompany. Again David and Alison were so accommodating well worth a visit

A disappointing over night stay. Difficult to find using the sat navigation. Room converted out buildings. Wife needed the window open in the night as the room smelled damp. I trod on something slimmy outside the bathroom in the night. This being by the front door. Which didn’t fit well. See photo. The owner said it was probably a slug !!! On investigation I think it was possible a young newt. See photo. On a positive note. The owners were lovely people and supplied a good breakfast.

Room Tip: Look at the map rather than sat navigate. It would be an idea for the owners to offer directions.

I was supposed to stay overnight with a friend, but when she got 'pinged' and had to self isolate Alison and David came through for me! I stayed in the cosy and spotless annexe, and was amazed at the range of treats and drinks in the 'hospitality basket' -- really imaginative and thoughtful, and much appreciated. Did not experience breakfast as it was a room-only rate, but can imagine the hosts put similar care into breakfast. Amazing location, fantastic view and stunning gardens. Alison and David were so friendly and welcoming. No hesitation in recommending Brambles!

Alison & David fully deserve a 5 Star rating for this holiday. Nothing was too much trouble, they even offered us plates & cutlery if we ordered a takeaway & use of their fridge to chill some bottles. Lovely room in the annexe with everything you could need. Lots of choice for breakfast & plenty of it. Very knowledgeable of the surrounding area.
