Another stay at this homely guest house. This time for our visit, we had room 3, to be put in a room with a four poster bed ( very comfortable) . Large airy room, good sized bathroom with enclosed shower cubicle. Because it was at the rear of the property, it was extremely quiet, so a good night's sleep was secured. Breakfast as on previous visits, was first rate with local products and homemade sausages and jams. The owners, Chris and Sue Holiday, were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Situated within a few minutes walk to the town centre, and with parking available either outside, or in a private carpark at the rear, perfect.

A really genuine, totally ‘non-corporate’, B&B and I had a great stay. I only met Sue briefly when I checked in, but she was lovely. Really comfy bed, lovely hot shower and a good night’s sleep. Now, onto breakfast…… (Cue drum roll!) I was greeted (by name) by Chris so that was a lovely - and totally unaffected - personal touch. Food. Oh, yes: Homemade sausages (Chris) Amazing. Homemade sourdough (Sue) Didn’t get to try it this time but I hope to be back. Homemade jam (Sue) Delicious! Enough said! Only a few rooms so book if you can! If you appreciate a nice bed, a brilliant breakfast, and great hosts, you won’t be disappointed. P.S. The poached eggs were perfection in eggs form!

This review is mainly based on the poor condition of the place. As mentioned in previous reviews, Chris and Sue are very friendly and the breakfast is good but the room we stayed in (7) is seriously in need of renovation as per the photos, I will let the photos speak for themselves. I appreciate the recovery time from COVID but reviews from as far back as 2017 mention the need for renovation. We had the private bathroom but are fairly sure that someone else used it in the middle of the night. This place has a great central location and parking at the back but the state of it really lets it down.

I called at the last moment and was able to reserve a room. I’ve stayed here before, the owners are a delight, the location is central, to facilities are splendid and the breakfast is outstanding. So, a faceless travelodge / best western / premier inn or a family run friendly b&b. You choose.

Liked that we were left alone in a room that had character. Chris was friendly and helpful, hopefully joking about checking our room upon arrival. Sue's homemade jams and marmalades well worth £3, especially rhubarb and ginger or the gooseberry! Not huge breakfast eaters but the bacon alone and the Eggs Benedict were incredible. Loved meeting Zac and Roxy:) Huge thanks to the team for a happy stay, but Chris....give it a fresh lick of paint. Sue.....neutral bedding for anyone with a flamingo phobia or dislike. Naturally vice versa if Sue paints and Chris chooses bedding;) Sorry we filled your recycling boxes;););)

We stayed two nights at Angle guest house, this weekend for a family wedding at the Huntsham Court We were made very welcome by Chris the owner. He was very friendly and helpful . We had two rooms on the second floor, the rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious with their own en-suites. .The breakfast was delicious with everything we wanted, We all had the full English the poached, eggs were cooked to perfection and the sausages were home made ! Excellent service, throughout our stay. Good location and the parking was a bonus Would highly recommend this guest house 100%, doing an amazing job. Worthy winner of Four in a Bed. Thank you.
