Booked the family room for the weekend, overall experience was excellent, family room (Rm 3) very comfortable, we booked the hotel restarant on both nights, the staff were excellent and fully catered for our 6 yr old, great choice of food and lots of local fish options. Overall, good service, good food, good hotel and great location for the Jurassic... More

We booked a table for three, easily by phone. On arrival we were immediately greeted in a sincere, friendly way and offered pre-prandial drinks. And we were shown where our table (No.12) was, invited to be seated and menus would be brought to us (full marks so far). The pub is traditional and attractive inside, with a quiet relaxing atmosphere;... More

Often eat in the Bridport area, haven't tried the West Bay Hotel for a few years. Shown to a table straight away, had to ask several times for drinks and menu. Staff seemed preoccupied with skittles teams and locals at the bar. For the cost I expected far better service than one young girl, who tried her best with no... More

Having grown up in Dorset all my life, I was surprised never to have come across this absolute gem!! We stayed here for a night before Valentine's day and it was absolutely perfect! The pub itself is very cosy indeed, and the tables are often booked up. The chef, as the menu proudly boasts, was the former head chef at... More

I always pick seafood from a menu when its available, it's been a while since I've been to the west bay hotel and the menu has plenty of choice of seafood and other dishes, the food itself was cooked to perfection, no one in our party had a complaint about anything, it was superb value in a lovely location and... Did not stay here but had a meal as a party of 12 in the bar/restaurant area. We were very impressed with the range of dishes on offer (particularly the fish dishes) and were really spoilt for choice. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was very well presented and tasty. More

Westbay is a lovely place we had a great weekend with the family, we only went to the Westbay to eat but didnt feel that welcome with the family I think the children were an annoyance to the staff who seemed to favour the drinkers at the bar which is a shame. More

Super friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was large and comfortably furnished; the bathroom was fine - all kept very clean. We had two evening meals which were terrific. The menu is extensive - too much choice! It gets very busy so do reserve your table at the time of booking a room to avoid disappointment. The cooked breakfasts were excellent.... More
