This pub is set in a picturesque quiet village and the rooms seem to have been renovated fairly recently offering excellent accommodation with the only downside being that the luxury bath towels were a little on the small side. However, this is a minor winge and we could not really find any other fault. The hospitality was very friendly and... More

My husband and I were very relieved and pleased to stumble across this gem of a pub/restaurant with rooms after a walk on the hills. The food was delicious and the landlady (? I think) was kind to our little boy. The chef (landlord?) clearly takes great pride in the menu - truffles in the mac 'n' cheese - yes... More

What a little gem. Tucked away in the Dorset countryside the Three Horseshoes is a really lovely spot. Beautifully furnished bedrooms and a restaurant which is a real treat. Lovely menu with the most beautifully inventive choices.

We booked this charming B&B for a last minute weekend away, and what a gem of a find it turned out to be. The landlady pre-warned us that our room (room 3) was the only room that had not yet been refurbished and was above the pub so we may experience some noise. I could hear noise from the pub... More

My missus and I stayed at the Three Horsehoes for 2 nights, Good Friday & Easter Saturday. Lovely pub, friendly & professional staff, clean room with nice facilities and the food is excellent. Powerstock is tucked away a little, but that adds to the charm....it's worth the effort to find it. It's handy for the Dorset coast generally. We visited... More

We hit upon this charming pub by complete accident coming down from Eggardon Hill in the pouring rain. The lanes are really narrow but the sceneray is beautiful, really quiet and rural .We were rather too late for lunch, sadly, but decided to stop for a drink. The inn is a delight, just what you want from an old country inn... More

We were a party of 6 for Boxing Day lunch. They were able to accomodate us even though we were a very last minute booking. We were given a lovely window table. We had fish and chips and the fish cakes. Fish was cooked to perfection. Fish cakes huge and delicious. Home made tatar sauce was to die for. All... More

We went for lunch on a surprisingly sunny November day. We sat in the sun on the terrace overlooking the very tranquil valley and village. A rare treat to be able to sit out in the winter sun! It was not busy, not surprising as it was mid-week in the winter but for us that was perfect as we were... More

We felt the menu could have been slightly greater. My wife's beer battered cod and chips cooked in dripping (as all fish and chips should be!) was good the triple cooked chips slightly over done the home made tartare sauce excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed char grilled mackeral, crab croquettes, braised fennel, little sweet tomatoes, aioli, sea purslane (small amount of... More
