We stayed for 3 nights (Fri, Sat & Sunday) as I had a course to attend at the nearby Harbour of Portland. We stayed in a room on the top floor which looked out straight onto the sea. Looking out to the right we could also see the famous Chesil Beach. Mrs Janet Hunter was waiting at the time we... More

We arrived later than expected in the dark and rain, and were greeted pleasantly and immediately shown to our room, which was large and well appointed. The house was fantastically warm, and in excellent order throughout. The bed was very comfortable, and our room, and en suite bathroom were immaculately clean and in excellent order. I was pleased there was... More

I booked the weekend staying at Turnstones as a surprise for my wife and, thankfully, Janet and Ian at Turnstones helped with keeping this a surprise. When we arrived we were shown to our room, right on the top floor looking out over Fortuneswell and down onto Chesil Beach. From the window we could see the sea rolling onto the... More

Recently stayed here with my wife while I was conducting handover on board ship at Portland Port. This B and B was ideal as close to the Port and very friendly. Having been renovated by previous owners rooms have combination of character combined with modern bathroom etc. Ian and Janet went out of their way to look after us and... More

We were made very welcome and shown to a modern, clean and spacious room with great seaviews. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen and the en-suite featured a very effective shower. Breakfast was of high quality and promptly served. Both Janet and Ian were very knowledgeable about their local area, especially about walks and where to eat... More

We had a lovely peaceful stay at this gem of a place. The owners are super kind to sailors and hang out sailing kit. The breakfast is yummy and sets you up for a day on the water. Looking forward to our return. Nicky More

Brilliant place for sailors. Stayed 4 nights whilst sailing at WPNSA. Excellent room, large and clean with a lovely view of Lyme Bay, one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Janet and Ian gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful with instructions on getting there and with details of places in eat in the evening.... More

We had a night a Turnstones prior to a walking trip along the Jurassic Coast. It is a lovely little B&B marked by a wonderfully helpful and polite couple. The B&B is situated on Portland and is very easy to find in its quiet residential location. The rooms are well furnished and were spotless. Although we made the booking last... More
