We had a lovely family meal in this hotel. The service and food was excellent. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere in the Halfway House. The restrooms could do with an update and the carpet is a bit tired but we have been customers for years and are always happy to return.

After years of passing this hotel and commenting on how we should call in for a meal, we finally did and we will return in the near future. The food was very good, the service was friendly and the view was fantastic while enjoying our meal. Good old fashioned food, well cooked, and covered the plate, not a drizzle of... More

I have always had positive experiences whenever visiting this hotel. There is a wide selection in terms of meal choices, the portions are generous and the produce first class. Staff are very friendly, ready to advise and willing to acccommodate. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and has a beautiful feel of rustic charm. Views are fantastic and they have great... More

Well worth a visit, friendly staff, varied menu, great food and quick service at a good price. The view across the water to Scotland is quite breathtaking.

Along with a couple of friends I use this restaurant regularly. This family-run business exudes welcoming charm, friendly atmosphere and exemplary service - always with humour and a smile. The food is consistently excellent. The "no nonsense" menu offers lots of choice. The owners have exercised sound business acumen by pitching the prices at an affordable level in recognition of... Having experienced some of the dodgier eateries around this area I feel Halfway House deserves a top rating. Great food, good service, helpful attentive staff and lovely views over the sea. Highly recommended.
