I stayed in old crawfordsburn hotel in May and I found the hotel breathe taking. In some hotels you feel out of place but not here. The staff make you so welcome and can't do enough for you. Excellent service all round.

This deal included cocktails on arrival, starter with evening meal and a bottle of wine.i believed this to be a good deal but later was... More

Dear batmansnr, thank you for taking the time to post such a comprehensive yet widely innaccurate review on Tripadvisor. Whilst the restaurant was indeed busy on Saturday night your party did concede that the waiting staff and food and beverage manager were brilliant. We still believe that the fixed price menu at £52.50 per couple offers excellent value for money... More

We stayed here for 1 night, bed, breakfast and evening meal and had an absolutely brilliant time. The room was well furnished as was the bathroom. Our bed was really comfortable. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. The food was fantastic, we had steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Our breakfast... More

I have visited the hotel many times as I grew up nearby but this is the first we have stayed. Downstairs is lovely and the open fire is very welcoming in the reception area. We were disappointed in the room although we did get it for an excellent price. It was very small but the bed was comfy. The bathroom... More

Dear LauraR4, Thank you for posting a review on Tripadvisor. We were delighted to see that you enjoyed you recent stay with us and that you found the bed comfortable and the breakfast to your liking. As an hotel that is coming up on 400 years old next year it is very difficult to afford spacious accommodation to each bedroom... More

Sadly our stay was spoilt due to an item going missing from our room. We were fobbed off by reception then later by head of housekeeping. Promised phone calls from both to advise of developments - not received. "Good customer care is more important when something goes wrong!" Now doubt if we will ever be back. All our family &... More

Dear william w, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Tripadvisor. We were sorry to see that you felt your stay was let down by your i-phone charger being misplaced. Dear ianyscotland, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Tripadvisor. We were delighted to see that you enjoyed your recent stay with us. We completely renovated our kitchens and restaurant in late 2010 and then started our staff training program shortly after. It is fantastic to see that you enjoyed the benefit of this. As you... Interesting rooms, all slightly different. The designs (from lights to wallpaper) are all varied, with plenty of nice touches. We had a comfy four poster bed two TVs, plenty of space, a very powerful shower, so not much to complain about in the room apart from a creaky floor! There's free parking for residents next to the hotel. Food in... More

Dear Chris B, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Tripadvisor. As you correctly identify, all of our rooms are individually styled and have their own personalities and it is true to say that we have the odd squeaky floorboard - but we are dealing with an inn that will be 400 years old next year.... My partner and I stayed at the Inn for one night on Saturday and we were not disappointed. We were upgraded upon arrival to the "Cottage" which was a lovely surprise as we had booked a superior room.
