After arriving at the Crusoe and acquiring a table on the pier, we decided to order lunch at the bar. Plenty of staff available to serve, but was overlooked twice only to be served once the people behind me were happy! Food was served on the pier, average service by average staff. On observing the table service we noticed that... More

As our 14 April booking for 21 May to 24 May was cancelled by the Crusoe Hotel with barely 24 hours prior notice, we were thoroughly dissatisfied. The reason for the cancellation was a very inspecific "damage to the room". Curiously, staff at the Crusoe were unable to say what the damage was, which is quite difficult to believe. Damage... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night only. On arrival staff were really nice and friendly. Room was a good size and had good views over the water but there was so much condensation in between the panes of glass that we had to pull the windows up to enjoy the view. The room as did much of... More

We came across this place by chance and had a bar meal here. It was very good and the service was swift, friendly and efficient.the whole place was buzzing with a pleasant atmosphere. There was a group from Eyemouth having a sing-song in a large upstairs room, turned out it was an annual trip they made. the hotel was large... More

Went for lunch today in the crusoe hotel. Had lovely meal, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend it. Can't comment on the rooms as only went to lunch. The beef burger was served with a hunky home made chips, delicious.

We stayed for 2 nights last week. The rooms are maybe a bit old fashioned, but you have everything you need. It is nice when you sleep with the window open you can hear the sea at night, it's very relaxing. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we had no long waits even that our party was 8 people.... The Crusoe Hotel is just a walk along the beach from where we live and it is a place I have visited many times over the years. The setting is lovely - right on the pier and during the summer there is seating on the pier where you can enjoy something to eat and the gorgeous views. It is a... More

Stayed here 3 nights, 7th March to 10th March. Room 10 overlooking beach, fantastic sight to see waves battering the shore. I should have been out there surfboarding, but not in winter. Delicious food, bowl of Scottish mussels in wine and cream, and proper chips. Fresh poached eggs for breakfast. Staff friendly and the room warm and comfortable. Just the... More

Had a bar lunch here yesterday, so can't comment on overnight stay aspects, but the lunch was very good. Service was very friendly and contributed to a welcoming and convivial atmosphere. People below have commented on an absence of management, but we felt that management was very much present in the best way, quietly seeing to it that guests were... More

Came here to watch the football and left with the feeling I'd happily stay! Nice location and views out to sea. Atmospheric and modern, warm bar area. Very spacious with satellite tv. Staff were superb. Friendly and helpful. Good drinks and (hic) well priced. I'd look at staying here in the future. Thanks.
