Reception, bar and corridors very tired, rooms on 2nd floor were clean (apart from lamp shades which need a good dusting). Staff pleasant but run off their feet, food average but expensive. Great location for walking around the coast or getting on a train to Edinburgh for sight seeing. More

Charlotte 1 of Edinburgh thank you for taking the time to post your comments. I have literally come from a discussion that helps progress my plans to make significant improvements through redecoration and repair along with service delivery that will address the points you make and a few others. Activity has started and will be increased going forward from here.... More

Facts: The carpets have seen better days, ranging from stained to downright filthy. The voile curtains in our room were stained with "black stuff". The carpet was quite stained and there was evidence of the same "black stuff. The windows were dirty inside & out. The receptionist printed off an evening meal menu around 4.30pm. I advised the girl attending... More

I had a meeting here followed by lunch. Initial thoughts were a little dated, has seen better days and could do with a revamp. Ordered cappucinos, first time I have had syrup as a topping without even being asked. Afterwards, three of us had lunch, my wife and I had duck stir fry. However, each piece of duck had a... More

Myself and my two teenage children have just spent a fabulous four day break at the Queens ferry hotel,  North Queensferry, Scotland. A beautiful, picturesque village, complete with vast beaches and interesting places to ramble. From the first moments of our arrival at the Queensferry Hotel, we were greeted with big, bright smiles and fantastically helpful staff. For them "nothing... More

If you are lucky enough to get a room on the left-hand side of the corridors, you can enjoy the one asset of this hotel: Breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth and the Forth Road Bridge. In almost all other aspects, you had better look elsewhere. To begin with: The hotel is fairly inaccessible except by car. And even... More

My friend and I decided to travel to North Queensferry for a day trip and stopped off at The North Queensferry Hotel for lunch. We found the restaurant had lovely views of the Forth and the two bridges and the friendly staff were attentive and made sure we were well looked after during the afternoon. The food was delicious and... More

Thanks for your comments on your recent visit. I am working to reposition the Hotel product on various aspects and to provide a delivery service to consistently meet all guest expectations on every visit. Clearly your visit has been caught up in the transitional period and has experienced a lapse in our progress. My apologies for this, note our New... More

We were planning on a impusive overnight stay close to Edinburgh where we stay so decided to check out the Brook. I assumed that if they look after a party of four for food then the hotel would be great - we decided overwhelmingly not to stay!! The food in the restaurant which does have a fantastic view was less... More

We were shopping locally and knew of this place so decided to stop here for some lunch on Easter Sunday. After parking we should have taken note of the shabby exterior, but we didn't. Once inside we approached the restaurant we should have taken note of the empty seats and left, but we didn't. There was noone around as we... More

This is one of those hotels where you have to take a lift up to reception which dopey has always found to be a Bad Sign. The welcome was a bit indifferent after the long trek from South London with no offer of help, but Grumpy and Dopey managed to totter off on the long route march to their rooms.... More

I suspect Great Dissapointment in your experiences to be more likely the case than Grumpy and Dopey. Sorry your visit coincided with us going through a period of change and personnel and as a result we clearly did not meet your expectations when you were with us recently. Your comments add great weight to our repositioning of our whole service... More

I have stayed at the Queensferry previously and enjoyed the stay there. The rooms had been recently refurbished at the time and although I typically didn't eat at the hotel on my couple of previous stays I had enjoyed a hearty breakfast. There was a quiet bar where you could sit and relax and the staff were friendly. I recommended... More
