After spening yet another week on Arran - The Kinloch Hotel was wonderful. Great food and lovely friendly staff once again. Have to say all of Arran is like this to be fair and everyone of the hotels/pubs are so happy to please. I DID very much the Lasgane at the Kinloch and we ended up having this meal several... More

A short break here with a number of friends from our local Probus club turned out to be a wonderful experience. The hotel, Staff, food and rooms were excellent and I would commend it to anyone. I have fond memories of staying on the island as a youngster and later with my wife who I met here, and this trip... More

Just returned from a great short break here. The hotel is comfortable and not at all fussy. The staff were helpful and attentive; the bedrooms have great sea views and are well equipped; the food is very good. In short, everything here designed to ensure holiday enjoyment. We will certainly return. Billand Ellen More

A great hotel to try if you are on the island of Arran. The food for dinner was wonderful with most of it being sourced locally. The golf course ( Shiskine,12 hole) is without doubt one of the hidden gems of Scottish golf. Even if you dont play the saintly game it is worth walking to the course to get... More

We have just come back from a weekend staying at the Kinloch Hotel. I booked it late & we wanted to go to Arran & had stuggled to find somewhere for the bank holiday weekend that could accomodate me, my husband & 7 year old. The Kinloch Hotel was very accomodating, giving us a family room, with my son going... More

stayed here in Dec with howling winds and rain - location is remote wild seaside on beautiful Isle of Arran. Even with the winter weather, it was a wonderful experience - good food in the restaurant (which is good because that's the only place to eat - wonderful staff and room. More

Far from the madding crowds, the Isle of Arran is surprisingly easy to reach (only 55 minutes on the ferry from Ayrshire). The east coast does get a little crowded though around Brodick and Lamlash. However that can hardly be said about the west coast, the village of Blackwaterfoot and the Kinloch Hotel in particular. Firstly, the location is great,... More

Having booked in advance it was fairly disconcerting to arrive and not be expected. Sent off to wait in the drawing room while they sorted it out. Thankfully there was a room, not sure what would have happened if there wasn't! Not helped by reception staff not telling the truth in response to our concerns when we asked and only... More

Our stay was highlighted by the view from our room out over Drumadoon Bay and the setting sun. We arrived in Manchester earlier in the day and had to drive and take the ferry to reach Blackwaterfoot. The staff greeted us with open arms. The hotel provides large towels, face cloths and lots of hot water. The dining room, which... More
