Lindisfarne is only a short way out of Stromness with good views over it and out to the hills on Hoy. The rooms are spacious and the welcome warm. (Walls between rooms are a bit thin so that noise does percolate through, but not to the extent of being a great problem). Stromness is a good location for West Mainland.... More

Stayed in the Lindisfarne self catering cottage last July for a week and it was the best experience I've had of self catering anywhere! Stayed at Lindisfarne, just outside Stromness, for a long weekend. Hosts very friendly and helpful (even gave us a lift into town for a night out, to save us driving).
