If there is a better run youth hostel in Scotland I have yet to see it and I have stayed in loads, some of which were very very good. Had a great 2 night stay here. Got a private room which was very spacious and had a sink and complementary towels. Great kitchen where we had a social time cooking dinner on one night. 2 lounges were perfect for chilling out. Staff were all lovely and very helpful and could buy the essentials that we'd forgotten to take.
