This is a super B&B. Marcia was most welcoming and our bedroom gave us the best views of Shetland that we had from every place we stayed. The room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities one would want and expect. The electrically adjustable bed was a bit of a surprise but we had great fun playing with it... More

A lovely friendly B&B, Marcia made us really welcome and could tell us all about the local area, it was a great start to our holiday in Shetland. Make sure you are hungry at breakfast time as the breakfasts are enormous and very, very good - we had no need for lunch! Good rooms with very comfortable beds.

We had a very enjoyable stay with Marcia at Almara and would love to return but its a long way from home. Great breakfast looking over the view of St Magnus Bay. It was only a short distance to drive over to the impressive Eshaness Cliffs on the west coast. We were interested to talk to Marcia about Shetlanders and... More

We knew we were going to enjoy our stay here from the friendly and helpful correspondence when we booked. We were a bit unlucky with the weather for our 2 night stay, but the warmth of our welcome more than compensated! Marcia is an excellent hostess. The room was quiet and spotless and she had thought of everything to make... More

I will never forget the view from the dining room. Neither I'll forget Marcia gentle, warm ad welcoming smile. Needless to say that I am not in the position to forget the overfilling breakfasts that allowed me to walk for several hours and miles. What else... clean, tidy, quite, strategic position if you have a car to move around, but... More

...to stay as guests of Marcia and Alistair in this beautiful part of the world. Welcoming hospitality with helpful advice on the area, a comfortable (though smallish) bedroom with very good beds and a small but sufficeint en suite. Great breakfasts (though served early) with a good choice (even for those who want a cold breakfast). Excellent value and a... More

The chalet is well equipped, warm, comfortable and filled with light from the glass roofed sitting room. All you might expect and need for a real home from home. But the warmth of the welcome would surpass anyone's expectations. In no time the chalet feels like home - and with the best neighbours you could wish for. Marcia and Alastair... More

We really enjoyed our stay, Marcia is an excellent hostess. The location is good, food excellent and can't be beaten. The room is more traditional than some of the others we stayed in, but as clean as a whistle. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay, with a very welcoming host and great views at the front. Not all the rooms are en suite (ours wasn't) but it was fine. Breakfast is enormous and very tasty; don't plan to have lunch as well! Well worth the stay, with such fabulous secenery all around; don't miss the Fetherland walk to the north.

Marcia Williamson is a true Shetlander and her B&B on the North West of Mainland in a particularly attractive and convenient position offers a warm welcome to visitors from around the world. The breakfasts are enormous, the rooms comfotable but bathrooms en suite are tiny add ons, fine though for the purpose. At breakfast you can enjoy everyone's company and... More
