Spent three nights at the Trout Fly and enjoyed them very much. The B&B is ideally situated to explore the southern Islay distilleries, the owners are welcoming and gracious, the rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious.
Very friendly (we arrived after 10 following late ferry and it was no problem); well equipped room with ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities; great breakfast; excellent location just a short distance from the three distilleries this end of the island.
Mary and Donald went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The food was fabulous and the bedroom, living room, and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Great location for visiting the three distilleries near Port Ellen and for dinner at the White Hart. We hope to return soon!

We stayed for two nights and our room and bath was clean, modern and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the owner very serviceminded. Very good location if you're interested in whisky with three distilleries nearby and close to the ferry from the mainland.

We originally...

Fresh cooked breakfast to order every day and the use of space in the rooms was very clever(my husband is 6'4 and...
