My wife and I are reluctant reviewers but on this occasion, we thought that we should complete a review. the Govans is an older style B&B, located at the top of the town, with a very steep climb from the front and is only really suited to peoplewith their own transport. The house is difficult to find as there is... More

Firstly I want to say that I have received an e-mail apologising for the mistake which sounds very genuine and the people do sound lovely. However, My wife and I were stuck in such a terrible predicament I feel I have to write a review. I had booked over a month ( I want to give the benefit of the... More

I have recently returned from a short break on the Isle of Mull. The island is a wondeful place for wildlife and bird watching. The Govans bed and breakfast was a delightful place to stay with a very homely atmosphere. The owners, Gill and Colin were very helpful with information on what to see and where to go, and I... More

I have to say that this little B&B was a bit of a let down. The people are lovely, friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge, and you do get your own wing to the house which makes it feel very private and you can go in and out as you like without disturbing anyone, which is a big... More

The Govans, Colin, Gill, and 12 yo son Dexter, run the kind of small, homey B&B that is fast disappearing from the traveler's world. They have two rooms (with shared bath) in a separately accessed wing of their cottage home. This is like staying with friends or family. There's no pretense, Laura Ashley hasn't been in charge of decoration, but... More

Had a very enjoyable stay in this B & B. There is a very friendly family atmosphere that makes you feel most welcome, the owners are very helpful, recommending things to do, places to see, and where and where not to eat. The rooms were adequate, nothing fancy but not too basic! In a good location, we struggled to find... More

Myself and my 2 friends really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this B&B.... the owners were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation although basic, was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great - a short walk down to the colourful bars, restaurants and shops at Tobermory Harbour.
