We had a super holiday in this lovely house. Accommodation was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was a feast. The Nicholsons were very welcoming and we had fantastic weather to explore this beautiful island. One of the besr B&Bs we have stayed in. M& B.Mackinlay. More

Have been visiting different scottish islands each year for 15 years and I strongly recommend raasay to those wanting peace and quiet, good walks and fantastic views. Allt-Arais is a really super b and b. My twin en suite room was a very good size, well decorated and stylish. The view from the lounge is stunning. Excellent breakfast. I was... More

Our stay in this B&B was in one word: FANTASTIC. Large rooms with all facilities we could have hoped for. Very good bed and shower, much appreciateted after a day of hiking on the island. We even had luck with the weather, snow on the mainland of Scotland. Stunning views from our room in the morning. And every morning the... More

Raasay is such a wonderfully interesting island, but of course the weather is unpredictable. It doesn't matter when you're staying in such comfortable accommodation as Allt Arais, where there is a warm welcome and where the full Scottish breakfast sets you up perfectly for the day, and to where you can return for a rest and a read any time... As a regular visitor to Raasay I usually do self-catering, but as time was short this year, I decided Allt Arais was to be the choice for a couple of nights. With Raasay House being rebuilt and Borodale House Hotel used as the outdoor centre, where to stay in comfort? Allt Arais, that's where. The attention to detail that has been... More

Having visited Raasay on numerous occasions while staying on Skye, we decided this year to stay on the island for a couple of days. Not ones for staying in B&Bs, we like a cottage, we weren't exactly sure what we would find. What we did find was Allt Arais and wow!! what a find. This must be quite simply one... More

There are precious few lodging options on the Isle of Raasay, but one could not do better anywhere in the highlands than Anda Nicholson's B&B. I am not generally a fan of B&Bs, but Mrs. Nicholson made us very comfortable, and served up a great scottish breakfast. More

Exceptionnal site with fantastic view of Sky island, we were received at Allt Arais with much consideration. The high quality of this B&B is remarquable, Mrs Nicholson was very attentionate to our needs and our room was very comfortable and well decorated. We stayed longer to enjoy the place and Raasay island where we have walked on beautiful pathways. Worth... More
