Stayed at "Raasay House hotel" (actually the hotel next door, Borodale) for a weekend at the start of October (groupon deal), the location of the hotel is only 5 mins from the pier and has stunning views over to Skye. We arrived late on a Friday evening, checked into our room which was basic, but given that the hotel is... More

Raasay was an island we had always wanted to visit - we found a good weekend deal, checked the website and booked it. We had direct contact with hotel staff before our visit and they were friendly, and supportive. However, neither the contact with staff nor the website information gave any indication of what we would find. The website stated... More

We were booked to stay for two nights at Borodale House at the beginning of September. We only managed one night before leaving, and being honest, if the ferry had still been running the first evening we wouldn't have even stayed one night. Upon arrival we were shown to our room (or sty, which is perhaps a more fitting name).... More

Didn't stay here but stopped for lunch. Had the most wonderful panini. View and atmosphere very nice. Could have sat outside fussing the cats and looking at the view all day. Bliss. More

Just back from a wonderful trip to Rassay: As owners of a small hotel in Edinburgh we know how important reviews are. We had a great 3 day stay and would love to have stayed longer - plan to go back in October. The hotel is not far from the Ferry so even if travelling on foot (we took our... More

Stayed here for a night on a touring holiday. Hotel itself is very rundown; the food was OK though and they have a lively and vibrant bar. Good place for getting away from it all, just don't expect too much comfort. Our check-in experience was fine, we were shown to our rooms promptly. The rooms themselves were in poor shape,... More

Didn't stay here but stopped for tea and cake. Best cake I ever tasted! Came back later on that day for more cake. The cake was even better! More

We recently stayed one night at Borodale House on our flying trip to Raasay. The hotel has a great location with amazing views across to Skye. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The highlights for us were the food (both dinner and breakfast were delicious) and the staff being so helpful and friendly, they really couldn't have... More

The proprietors have no right to call this place a hotel. It may have had some charm in the past, but now is just a place to spend the night, given the lack of other accommodation on the island. We stayed 2 nights. Firstly, breakfast - either stale wheetabix or cornflakes, there was a fruitbowl with a couple of mouldy... More
