My wife and I have just returned from a short break at the Invercauld Arms Hotel which we enjoyed very much. We booked with Coast and Country Hotels - a division of Shearings Holidays - and it was a 7-hour drive from our home. Phew! But it was well worth the long road journey. The hotel stands in the pretty... More

Excellent service from all very professional staff, especially Dora the barmaid. One of the best Shearings Hotels, great to see the lambs nearby. High quality food and pleasant restaurant. Definitely would stay there again. More

Really enjoyed our stay at the Invercauld arms. Nice comfortable room, clean bedlinen, plenty of hot water and towels changed every day. The dining experience in the fabulous dining room was very enjoyable with plenty of choice on the menu. This hotel proved to be one of the best Shearings hotels we have stayed in and the whole experience has... More

Returned today following a 3 day break. We were in room 67.Our only complaint is the design lay out of the room which results in it being very dark so we had to have the lights on all the time.We would ask next time for a room with natural light otherwise(.YES next time) we would definitely stay here again. The room... More

We have stayed in quite a few Shearings Hotels some better than others but without a doubt this was one of the best. Our bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. The food was the best we have had. As always the only downside was being 'robbed' at the bar. Fortunately we had taken some of our own wine... More

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Braemar village.Friendly and helpful staff, good food and lovely and peaceful..Within easy reach of good walks. Ideal for sightseeing and for someone who wants to get away from it all. I don't do shopping on holiday! Would highly recommend as I shall definitely return. More

I have complained in the past about the accomodation offered by Shearings but credit where it is due. This hotel was LOVELY. It is well worth a visit and if you do ask for room number 9. OK the bathroom was a bit jaded but it was spotless. The room was spacious, clean and very warm. The manager and staff... More

Stayed 8th to 14th April 12 A lovely Scottish village hotel, full of character which must never be changed. Upon arrival on a Shearings coach, staff members boarded the coach to greet us, a really nice touch. Everyones room key was ready and waiting at reception and check in was super fast. The entrance and hallways were nicely decorated and... More

Room over entrance with sofa was tired and worn. We heard our neighbours every move (well snoring as this is the age bracket of the hotel). Bathroom antiquated and worn as was room. Te/coffee facilities had not been replaced from previous occupants. Breakfast was awful with horrible beans, vinegar poached eggs and a sausage that was 90% sawdust. You pay... More
