Stayed in the Smiddy for 3 nights. All been said before. Wonderful accommodation. Very clean and more spacious than expected. Lots of rain but despite that we managed some pleasant walks along the shores of Loch Lomond. The property is fairly close to a main road but traffic noise not a problem. Very quiet in the property. Slept very well.... More

We stayed here for two nights in February 2013. It was our first visit and we would definately go back. The house is right on the side of Loch Lomond and the views are amazing. When we first arrived we got the keys and a small map from a locked box at the side of the office which we thought... More

This is our second visit, the first being in a loch side lodge. As we booked quite late we were only able to get in The Smiddy. Absolutely lovely cottage and, apart from a couple of minor gripes (hair drier doesn't work etc) it is a wonderful place to stay IF you don't mind driving everywhere. Last time we came... More

I am sorry you did not find the pathway/walk through the Estate down to the waters edge> leading to the Cruin . We provide a handwritten map directing the starting point of... More

I write this on the last night of a short (4 night) break at Pier Cottage and will be gutted to leave tomorrow morning! Read the other reviews and believe the hype! A fantastic location overlooking the loch in an immaculate, modern and tastefully finished lodge. We came on our first real holiday together with our one year old son... More

Before coming over to loch lomond, you would probably be wondering, if "1st out of 2 lodge in Arden" is good enough. Believe you me, this is probably THE lodge to go to. It has everything you ever want and more! We took the Jetty lodge, I haven't stayed at the others but let me tell you all you might... More

My husband and I booked here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, I don't think we could have picked a more beautiful spot. I found it very difficult to tear myself away from the couch looking out over the loch, it was mesmirising watching the water, the ducks and swans and the boats meandering up and down. I would love... More

Me, my partner and my parents stayed for 5 days in the bonnie banks cottage for a family wedding. The cottage is beautiful and nicely tucked away from the main road and in the mids of the trees which provided a peaceful stay. A lovely walk to the loch most days as it was only 5 or so minutes which... More

Spent the weekend in the smiddy lodge with my partner and we had a fantastic time. Lodge was very warm and cosy, very pretty and great amenities. The location was great as it is right between Balloch and Luss which are both lovely. Communication with the staff was excellent.

By no means are we strangers to the excellent standards provided by Auchenheglish Lodges but this was our first stay in the Cundy Lodge - previously we had stayed in either the Heron or Creinch Lodges and always had a wonderful stay. The Cundy was a wonderful lodge - a little smaller than the others but none the worse for... More
