We stayed here in August last year for a weekend. We were made to feel very welcome. The bar and restaurant is cosy and the food very nice. We would definitely stay here again. The setting is wonderful and an ideal base for touring around. More

From arriving we were made very welcome, and this did not change. The owners have turned this hotel into a homely friendly and restful place to stay. You feel they really enjoy what they do. Good cooking (the venison steak is to die for and the cooked breakfast is enormous), wide selection of bottle beers and malt whiskies and stunning scenery. John (behind the bar) is a mine of information about local walks and sporting opportunities. The hotel is also... More

The service was very friendly and the owner was very helpful in getting our absolutely sodden walking gear dried. Our hire car broke down on the last morning and all the staff were extremely helpful; they lent us jump leads, helped... More
