Can only praise 100% the Old Smiddy. Had our lunch on 21st April, arrived quite late. The staff were excellent and the food was first class. Graham was delighted with fish and chips. My Greek salad first class-coriander wow. Well done. More

B&B - we stayed in the ruby room which overlooked the river, beautiful view! Best sleep of of our 4 night trip to Scotland! Room was a cosy heat with black out curtains and shutters! Great shower! Breakfast catered for every need, offering a full cooked breakfast or toast cereal fruit and yoghurt! Felt full with either option. Restaurant -... More

I would recommend this lovely, clean and very comfortable little Scottish hotel. It is ran by a lovely family with excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. My room had a very nice view of the river and waterfalls plus breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The small restaurant attached was a wonderful suprise! We sat in the lounge with... More

Couldn't have done more for us - my friend had hurt her ankle and they lent us a walking stick, the owner's wellies, and even offered to give us some crutches they had. Nice food, gorgeous views, very reasonably priced - I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if I returned. More

We stayed here in April with friends. We booked all three bedrooms, and used it as our base for bagging five Munro's in one day. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. The evening meal was plentiful and tasty, with a warming fire to heat yourself by. Some picky eaters in the group, was no problem for... More

We didn't stay here but decided to eat here on a Saturday night. What a lovely restaurant. On arrival the waitress warned us that a party of ten had just come in and it might take a wee while for food to be served. We decided to stay and I am so glad we did. Service was excellent, food was... More

What a wonderful little b&b. Staff were great, food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent, location was beautiful and great value for money. The only thing that was disappointing was the 10am check out time. It really needs to be changed to an absolute min of 11am, if not 12. Check out for 10am feels a bit like waking up for... More

We stayed there as a family for several days whilst visiting the highlands. Mike (the owner) couldn't have been more helpful when making the booking. He gave honest advice on the rooms for the family & didn't even want to take a deposit ! When we arrived we weren't disappointed, it was a lovely B&B, nice cosy comfy rooms, good... More

Stayed here for a good part of a week to get a decent weather window for visiting the nearby Ben Lawers reserve. (About 10~15 minutes by car) Food was very good (excellent breakfast) and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, with a decent hot shower after a days tramping through the mixed weather on the... More
