I only had a short stay BUT the B&B/cafe was clean, owners/staff were friendly & helpful - you are treated like an old friend :0) The food was beautiful - you can't beat homemade meals!! Good value for money. A lovely little town, beautiful on a sunny day! Would definetly go back again!

I ventured into Wigtown from Glasgow after years of thinking about visiting our book town. I decided on Glaisnock Cafe for Lunch. Greeted by the very likeable owner Stephanie, quite busy atmosphere but still friendly and enjoyable. I was invited to try the 'new' cosy cafe room. Great comfortable seating. I opted for homemade soup and sandwich of the day.... More

After a six hour drive we were warmly greeted by Stephanie, the new owner of the Glaisnock. Two of my friends and I stayed for two nights in the family room. Very comfortable double bed and two singles. The room was chilly when we arrived but soon warmed up. We had our own en-suite which was great for the three... More

Stayed here for seven nights in September 2012. Blown-away by how excellent this accommodation is for the price! On arrival, I was offered a cup of tea and assistance to take my luggage to my room. The room was excellent, very clean, nice towels and a nice comfortable bed. Breakfast every day was excellent and served at whatever time suited.... More

Nice room and bathroom, excellent breakfast (the owner would basically cook you whatever you wanted for breakfast!) and good location in Wigtown. Not sure about value for money, it was mid- range accommodation for a mid-range price so ok basically but perhaps could be cheaper to encourage more custom.

We arrived dirty and dishevelled after being at a very wet Wigtown show, our welcome was fantastic with offers of hot drinks. Room 1 spacious, well furnished, spotless and well equipped. Bathroom small but great shower, toiletries etc provided and a big plus plenty of big fluffy towels. Bed comfortable and street outside very quiet with no traffic or noise. Breakfast... More

We received a warm welcome, very comfortable room and lovely breakfast at this B&B in Wigtown. It was the most memorable of our Scotland roadtrip and well worth a visit!
