This place describes itself as cool, classy and contemporary. The design of the rooms might be cool but this place is neither classy nor contemporary. It has rooms with a great view above an ordinary pub with people shouting "f###" on auto-repeat until 11pm when the place finally gets quite. It definitely takes much more to make a great place than... My partner and I decided to do a tour of wales, and after having difficulty finding places to stay I came across the Harbourmaster. I was blown away. Each room is decorated differently and I felt as if I was in a hotel from somewhere abroad. Our room had a sofa, large telly, the bath room was nearly the same... More

We stayed for one night in late May, and were charmed by both Aberaeron and the Harbourmaster from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the food was excellent. The location is great - right next to the seafront and overlooking the harbour (obviously). While the weather wasn't great, and our... More

Very nice rooms, stayed for just one night. Weather was poor, so did not venture out to far. Spacious restaurant with plenty of choice and fizz by the glass. Food was ok and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very scrummy. Aberaeron itself is very cute with nice stores and not overcrowded. We plan to return next year and will happily visit... More

Visited my childhood holiday base today. As soon as we stepped out of the car the memories came flooding back with the distinct air. We decided to have lunch in the Harbour master. The location is the best Aberaeron has to offer. Literally on the harbour edge. We were lucky enough to get a window table as there were not... More

My wife & I stayed for 3 nights (May 10th to 13th) and although the weather was not kind the hotel and Aberaeron more than made up for that. We were greeted like old friends(thanks Dai), the room was great with fantastic views from the bathroom and the bedroom (Cadwgan). We ate in the restaurant on 2 nights and the... More

This part of Wales is not my favourite destination but had to go on business so finding this hotel made the trip bearable. Really lovely hotel, room was clean, spacious, well decorated, with great views over the harbour. Bed was good and bathroom huge, the attention to detail was excellent, absolutely everything was thought of and provided. The bar is... More

Really lovely hotel in a great location. Plenty of enjoyable walks around the harbour and the village. Room looked out over the harbour. Food good but arrived late so limited seafood available on the night, cosy bar and good bar food. Really enjoyed the stay.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Albion room within the nice, pink cottage 2 doors away from the hotel. Location is beautiful on the edge of Aberaeron's small harbour and a short walk from the seafront and similarly to the Town Centre. Room was quite plain and basic but nicely decorated and very clean. Bathroom was very large and included... More

This hotel we found via the Alex Politzzis Little Black Book of Hotels. The second one we have stayed in from this book and so worth it!!! The position was second to none, we had the Madona room which was dual aspect one window over the harbour the other over the sea! The staff were very friendly and chatty and... More
